Teresa-Marta Batalla
  • Born in Barcelona in 1958.
  • 1977-79 studies graphic design at Elisava Art School, Barcelona, and simultaneously starts studying ceramics at “Raku” School of Ceramics and the Barcelona School of Arts and Crafts.
  • 1977-79 studies graphic design at Elisava Art School, Barcelona, and simultaneously starts studying ceramics at “Raku” School of Ceramics and the Barcelona School of Arts and Crafts.
  • 1980-91 co-director of “Raku” School of Ceramics in Barcelona, with Conxita Serra Pubill.
  • 1991 opens her own workshop in Sant Celoni, Catalonia, with Rainer G. Schumacher.
  • 2004 moves to Tortosa and sets up “El Raval de l’Art” with Rainer G. Schumacher: workshops and open-air gallery.
  • 2009 Receives the title of Master in Ceramics Crafts awarded by the Catalan Government.
  • 1994-present: Yearly exhibitions with new material and participation in art fairs in Catalonia, Spain, Holland, France and Germany.
  • 2015-present: She imparts intensive courses to teach her techniques in her own workshop and in other art training centers in Europe.
